While under contract, I worked with a team of experts including the Chief of Safety
for an Air National Guard Wing to develop project scope, technical documentation,
UI, relational database, and middle tier code. The project, which is an inter-service
effort, involves stakeholders in the USAF, US Army, and US Navy. The application
is currently in production and serves all low-level flights in the U.S, including
Alaska and Hawaii.
The application uses Google mapping technology as well as the CB3D deconfliction
algorithm, published by NASA in Java. I re-wrote the CB3D module in C# and adapted
it for this project.
The application allows pilots to enter scheduled or planned flight plans and receive
warning, including the radio frequency of conflicting aircraft and the phone numbers
of the scheduling organization, if the the flight path conflicted with any other
scheduled mission.
While under contract, I created a Customer Relations Management (CRM), Enterprise
intranet and public web application that allows users to roll over their 401k and
other securities assets for management by a financial services firm.
The application synchs the administrative users' Outlook folders with an MS SQL
database, provides interfaces for managing administrative and trading related tasks,
and allows public users to view and manage the status of their paperwork, account,
and inquiries.
As a contractor, I created a Human Resources reporting tool. Admin users are able update and edit content,
view reports, and export data. Public users can log hours, view reports, and manage their information.
The application is coded in ASP.NET 3.5 and C#, with a SQL Server back-end.
As an employee of a large engineering company in Silicon Valley, CA, I created a new company wide
web research portal. This effort involved meeting with stakeholders from various engineering departments
throughout the company, determining their information and usability needs, creating site architecture, UI,
and dynamic, Oracle based back-end. Part of the application allowed users to order documents online, bill to acounts,
track order status, export billing report data, search for e-journals, and manage orders.
I created a custom site for the South Center Rotary Club. The site includes a dynamic
calendar page and admin forms for managing the calendar entries.
